Instead of VBS this year, Mount Olive will be hosting a Family Bible Camp from Sunday, July 9th through Thursday, July 13th. The camp will be from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and will include a lesson, dinner, and activity each night. If you are interested in volunteering or helping, please contact Raelynn Meissner. Please sign up your family on the sheet at the office window. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Check out these events and details about Red Lodge Family Camp and Montana District Picnic at the window of the secretary office.

This is the ONLY fundraiser for the Mount Olive Lutheran Classical School.

If you are interested in donating anything for the auction we would be so thankful. There will be a baked-goods raffle table, silent auction, and live auction. Bring your items to Donna or staff member.

Please contact Donna Johns, either in her office or by email, businessmanager@mountolive.com, if you have any questions. We look forward to a wonderful evening supporting our school.

Fundraiser will be held on Friday, May 12th at Mount Olive Lutheran School and Church, rain or shine!

We are wrapping up our lap robe project for this year. We would like to have all the completed robes in by May 2nd. If you cannot finish your robe by May 2nd, hold on to it and we will resume again this fall. The finished robes are hanging in the fellowship hall on the stage area. The robes are beautiful and I want to thank everyone who made the robes. The Nursing Homes really appreciate them and I hope that you enjoyed making them as much as I did. Thank you again. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies and/or money for the LWML Gifts of Love offering. The following items were delivered to the Montana Rescue Mission this week: 84 pair of socks for men, women, and children, 83 items of underwear for men or women, 54 pair of gloves for men, women, and children, a large number of various toiletries, and cash. The staff at MRM were extremely happy to receive these items. Some of the items were purchased with funds from Thrivent Action Team cards.

The LWML Gifts of Love Program is cancelled this year. However, we are still going to give our gifts of love, without a church service. The recipients this year are Montana Rescue Mission (MRM) which also includes the Men’s and Women’s shelter, and Family Services. Both the MRM and the Family Services are in need of the following: socks and underwear for men, women, and chilren, travel-sized toiletries such as small bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand loation, tooth paste and tooth brushes. Purchased items may go in the box outside of the Secretary’s Office, or you may make a cash donation. Thank you for your help!

After being postponed from the original date in May, the LWR drive was held at Mount Olive’s parking lot on July 11. Twenty Lutheran churches from southern Montana and northern Wyoming brought 621 boxes weighing 15,008 lbs. of quilts and kits. Mount Olive LWML and quilters donated 138 quilts, 35 personal care kits, and 71 school kits. Many thanks to Grace Lardy, Rachelle Sparks, Kyle Armstong, and Chris Johns for their help in weighing and labeling the 45 boxes from Mount Olive before the drive. And a big thank you to Jason and Lukas Johnson, Kyle Armstrong, Jonathan besel, Nicole Rodriguez, Jamie Robertson, and Chris Johns for their help in loading the 621 boxes into the semi; also, thank you to Lorli Mercer for her help with the paper work. Without all the help from these individuals, it would be impossible for me to do this job. ~ Donnaleen Ganskop, LWML, Southern Zone Coordinator~

Another box of 82 pairs of eyeglasses has been mailed to MOST Ministries for use in their eyeglass ministries in some of the poorest countries in the world. A big THANK YOU to Mount Olive members who have donated their used eyeglasses to this project. This is an on-going project of the LWML Mary and Martha Dorcas Ciricle; so please continue to donate your used eyeglasses and non-prescription sunglasses.

Mary and Martha LWML are collecting supplies for health kits for Orphan Grain Train and Lutheran World Relief. Lists of supplies are on the table by the secretary’s office. Supplies and kits may be placed in the boxes under the table by April 20.

The LWML Ladies send a thank you to everyone who has made lap ropes. We still have more than enough yarn to make lap robes for the Shut-Ins and VA recipients. If you are still interested in making a lap robe(s), the yarn and drop-off box are outside in the fellowship hall. Thank you again for your help! – LWML Ladies –

Thank you to everyone who have donated yarn. We have more than enough to make lap robes for the Shut-Ins and VA recipients.
