A Great Big Thank You to all those who helped make the Remembrance Potluck such a good time. As usual, everyone pitched in to make coffee, punch, and bring wonderful food (and Pastor Grunst, it was worth the wait!!) Thank you to the people speaking of their dearly departed as they shared happy memories and stories of them, we were all happy to hear. Our guest-several family members – thanked us and reiterated what great memories of their loved ones. Thank you to those who stayed and helped clean up, you all are so appreciated. Thank you Gregg, for MC-ing and your scripture reading was so appropriate! Thanks again to everyone!! ~In His Service, Sharon and Betty, Social Ministry~

Dear Friends in Christ, We regularly ask you to pray for us and the Lutheran Mission in Spain.  We are right now in the midst of some frustrating bureaucratic processes that are making the work difficult, and must be resolved for us to continue the work.  Please continually keep us in your prayers.    ~ Rev. David Warner~

About 75 ladies – of all ages – gathered at Mount Olive December 9th, during the afternoon for the annual LWML Mary and Martha Gifts of Love Service and Buffet.  The service titled “The Best Gift” was presented by the Lydia Evening Circle.  The offering was divided and sent to LCMS Disaster Relief Fund and Orphan Grain Train Relief.  The Mary and Martha ladies served a bountiful table of delicious “finger foods”.  Thank you to all who came and took part in an enjoyable afternoon.  Donnaleen G.
