Do you ever wonder what happens with the quilts and kits that are sent to Orphan Grain Train or Lutheran World Relief? Orphan Grain Train supports disaster and poverty area around the world and also within the United States. Lutheran World Relief supports disaster and poverty area in foreign countries. Lutheran World Relief Posters of each organization are posted on the LWML wall in the narthex and they show you where quilts and kits were sent last year.
The library at Mount Olive is now open! Please stop by and browse through the great selection of books, as well as audio and video items available for check out. Also, the Mount Olive Archive books are now located in the library. They are not available for check out but the congregation is welcome to browse through them in the library. There are also some fun items for giveaway, such as record albums, books, and stickers!
Are you a Thrivent member with CHOICE DOLLARS and you haven’t designated them yet? After March 31 your 2021 Thrivent Choice Dollars will not be available for you to use. Choice dollars can be designated to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Mount Olive School, Mount Olive Early Childhood Ministry, or other charities. To designate your Choice Dollars go to Thrivent.Com – Log in to your Thrivent account and click on “Membership Overview” – scroll down to Thrivent Choice – click “direct choice dollars”. If you do not use a computer, you can call Thrivent at 800-847-4836 and ask for “Thrivent Choice”. They will be able to tell you if and how much Choice Dollars you have available and how to direct it.
